THE MUNICIPALITIES WILL RECEIVE OVER 2.2 MILLION BGN FOR TWO NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

The Council of Ministers approved additional transfers to municipalities amounting to more than BGN 2.2 million for financial provision of activities under the national programs “Optimization of the school network” and “Without free class”. The funds for projects for optimization of the school network are BGN 2 074 826. They finance measures for the restructuring of schools and / or the establishment of primary schools on the territory of the respective municipality, as well as for the transformation of vocational schools. Through the second program, 205 872 BGN will be allocated to the municipalities about teacher’s payment for those teachers who have replaced their absent colleagues in schools or kindergartens.

In addition, BGN 118 173 will be provided for the reimbursement of the transport costs or the rental costs of the pedagogical specialists in the pre-school and school education institutions for 2017, approved by Decree-Law No. 94 of 2017, the latest input from the two municipalities.
